Trying to be better at Macro shots...
Self assessment:
The light was pretty difficult to work with on this day; so I was taking advantage of the high ISO. Photo is a little grainy but it's the best I could do at the time. The breeze was also another battle that I had to face with. The photo was almost saved by using a tripod.
Please provide suggestions on how to improve the shots, techniques etc.
Feedback on the photo is greatly appreciated.

Another point of view on what purplerose said above...
Were you HOPING for more contrast, or did you achieve what you wanted? Personally, I like the softness of the photo the way it is. An external flash *may* have made the photo seem a bit harsh. It's a great technique... just depends on the effect you want.
Just my two cents. I think it's gorgeous the way it is, and I love the blue/green background. Perhaps if there wasn't so much contrast between the flower and the background, I would want more contrast in the flower itself. Who knows? It's all a big experiment!
